About Project Uplift

Project UPLIFT (Utilizing Positive Leaders to Inspire Future Talent) is a 40 developmental, asset-inspired, community/afterschool-based mentoring and education program for youth with multiple risk factors.

The program uses a one-to-one peer and group mentoring strategy. Mentors meet with youth in community and/or on their school campus during lunch or after school to accomplish the goals and objectives of the project.

Our Purpose:

  1. To identify, recruit, and train Mentors/Tutors from all sectors of the community.
  2. To develop and utilize youth leadership and life/social and resiliency skills.
  3. To improve academic achievement and instill a dedication to a culture of “Higher Education.”
  4. To develop a deep sense of positive self-image through education culture, history, and community service.
  5. To provide a development and training ground and social opportunities for Mentors.

Our Founder

“Mentoring is food for my soul. It fills me with purpose and joy to know that I’ve played a role—big or small—in helping shape the lives of the young people I've had the privilege to mentor. Every smile I inspire, every breakthrough I witness, and every life I help guide toward a brighter path reaffirms why I do this work. It’s more than service—it’s a calling, and I’m deeply honored to walk this journey with them.”
